What we do

Strategic and Operational Planning

a) Support for the Vice-Chancellor and Strategic Leadership Team

b) Co-ordinate preparation of plans

c) Assist and advise faculties and schools

 

Business Planning

a) Co-ordinate the business planning cycle

b) Assist and advise faculties and schools

 

Student Number Projections

a) Prepare plans and projections in conjunction with faculties and schools

b) Provide information and advice about the projections

 

Resource Allocation

a) Work with Finance Department in developing and operating the Resource Model

b) Contribute to development of policy on resource allocation

c) Assist and advise faculties and schools in using the model

 

Management Statistics and Performance Indicators

a) Monitor statistics derived from internal and external sources and prepare reports for management

b) Identify and analyse indicators of performance

 

Liaison with Higher Education Funding Council of England (HEFCE)

a) Liaise between the University and the HEFCE on planning and funding matters
